Israeli-Canadian Singer/songwriter Ofir has a new music CD magnum opus called, 'The Passion' that combines techno pop dance and house and ballads music with letters to God about the Universe and where its going that will shake your booty while at the same time telling the truth about the modern world and its pop culture.

Ofir does this well in her vocal tilt and lilt (great!!) and lyrics especially the title track and Never Call me Babe and Fire Escape tellingly makes hits on the very pop culture that the album embraces musically. The tension between the lyrical content and the dance oriented artifice makes for an artistically well balanced listenable pot pouri of pop songs.

The disc recalls the late 1980' Cosmic Thing by The B52's that justaposed upbeatradio friendly dance pop with social chrism that made it so appealing and poignant at the same time
